I wrote about new enhancements in Virtuoso® ADE Assembler Run Plan feature in Part I . This blog is continuing on the same topic concentrating on additional enhancements added since IC6.1.7 ISR15. How can I see all my Results at Once? If you’re using IC6.1.7 ISR15, or a later release, you should be able to open all the results in one go using the Open All Results option. How do I check my Test Settings in Run Plan With the enhanced Run Plan window, getting all the Tests set up information is now much simpler and doesn’t require you to run back to the Data view to extract the information. You can simply expand the individual Tests tree inside the Runs and see all the Test setup related information (like the simulator used, local design variables from the Tests , the type of analyses chosen) within your Run Plan assistant. Will Run Plan show me if there are any Local Overrides? Yes, the global variable is highlighted in ‘Yellow’ if the variable value is partially used from the local in some tests inside Run Plan. For example – The TRAN test uses global value of vdd i.e 1.5 while AC is using the local value vdd = 1.3:0.1:1.5 Did you know you can sweep views in Run Plan? With the config sweep feature integrated into Run Plan, you can now create Runs in Run Plan assistant that will sweep across different views. All you need to do is to create the config sweep global variables in the Active Setup (Data View assistant) and drag them over to the Runs inside Run Plan assistant. Note - Although the Config Sweep form that is displayed via the Run Plan assistant doesn’t allow you to modify the library and cell names, you can use the form to change the view name list for running the config sweep simulation.
