I'm a big advocate of correct (or at least consistent) footprint naming. However, at this level, of detail, you can probably revert to any scheme you like (that is consistent with your own library standards) to indicate the missing pins. I like the suffixes A B C etc because attempting to describe modern packages within the name of the footprint becomes farcical after a while. Either that or add the manufacturers case name as the suffix - if it's likely to be unique. ie DIP-7-626A or DIP-7-626AS in your example.
