Have you been frustrated trying to drag signals around in Virtuoso ® Visualization and Analysis only to see this icon telling you that you can't drag the signal there? You can right-click on the axis and check the Allow Any Units option, this will enable you to overlay signals with different axis units. From the short video below, you can see that the first attempt at moving the signal failed. Then, when Allow Any Units is selected the signal can be overlaid. Also, notice that the axis label changes to an X to indicate that more than one unit has been used. This works for the Y axis too. If you like this behavior then you can set it to be your default with the following environment variables: envSetVal("viva.depAxis" "flexible" 'string "true") envSetVal("viva.indepAxis" "flexible" 'string "true") Related Resources Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis User Guide Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis Hints & Tips Note: For more information on Cadence circuit design products and services, visit www.cadence.com.
