Ok, your supplied example is NOT what you stated in your opening post. However, I think you trimmed down a real example into a fake one and that has problems. All that said, I think this solvable if you open your mind. Take a look at the attached DSN file. I deleted the global net symbol and changed the "connector" power pin to a POWER pin (see original reply to you, you can NOT use global and expect it to override locally).. However, I do now have 4 nets that are "AGNDX_xxxx". See the embedded netlist in the zip. What I did experiment with that did not work was applying the "POWER_GROUP" property to the hierarchy block -- that apparently does not pass down to the POWER nets in the block.
