Thank you so much for the information Andrew. I completed the entire design without switching ON any algorithm (default setup). But when i thought to check with gear2/gear2only ( algorithm mostly used in designing oscillators) it is not starting at all. I verified for transient with errpreset =Moderate. and I even enabled transient noise, with default & traponly it's converging ( starting) , whereas with gear (gear2 / gear2only ) it is not. My Inductor is having a Q of almost 19 in the Nominal. Is that one of the reason? Is there any hard rule for the oscillator that it should readily work for the gear algorithm? And In what case generally, we will use this gear algorithm? Will it vary for different oscillators like Ring, LC tank ? Thanks, Cherag.
