RE: How to find the Layer# and Purpose# that are not reserved in the technology file using SKILL ?

Marben, This is covered in the documentation. In the Virtuoso Technology Data ASCII Files Reference, in the Technology File Layer Definitions chapter, in the section for techLayers, it says: x_layerNumber Number of the layer. Valid values: A unique integer from 0 through 194 and from 256 through 231-1. Note: Layers numbered 195 through 255 are system-reserved layers. There is a similar section for techPurposes: x_purposeNum The purpose number. Valid values: A unique integer, 1 through 128 and 256 through 232-65535. Note: Purpose numbers 129 through 255 are system-reserved. Purpose number 0 is also system-reserved and is defined as "unknown". Regards, Andrew.
