Andrew, thanks for your response. I checked the Connectivity->Mark with another layout I drew. It works properly and is exactly what I wanted. However, in the current layout it is not working because I cannot select metal layers (selection for all layers is enabled for all layers). It seems that they 'grouped" or "locked" them in anyway.
